NSBE Jr. actively helps students align their gifts (what they’re good at) with efforts that are meaningful to them (what they love) – which can be very different pursuits for younger people. My son has benefited greatly from this unique space that NSBE Jr. membership provides.

NSBE has made me a better young man and a better leader. Through NSBE I’ve improved my public speaking as well as learn more about new engineering fields. I’ve also made some friends through the NSBE conference and connections.

nsbe gave me the ability to interact with people who do engineering jobs firsthand as well as see how their day-to-day work lives are. see where they came from and how they built up from the beginnings. also gave me an insight on other types of engineering, expanding my knowledge of them and how they’re done and what they do for communities.<br /&gt

NSBE has impacted my son’s in a positive way. It’s allowed them to be in company and associate with like minded young African American boys and explore their creative skills. The program has taught them how and the importance of working as a team to achieve a common goal in engineering. It’s allowed them the opportunity to problem solve and collaborate on existing designs. Best of all, it allowed me to sit back and watch them excel in a field that they love.

Will graduate from the Univ of Cincinnati next spring Major: informational technology (software development) + MBA. Graduated from Shaker High in 2019. NSBE has provided me good life examples of what is possible through education and employment. I have received practical information regarding working in groups, public speaking, and leadership. I also strengthened my sense of community and importance of giving back and paying it
